I've had Comcast HSI for several years now. I've been very happy with their service. No problems with phone tech support, and the one time I had to have a tech out to my home, he was very knowledgeable, and helpful. He got here at the prescribed time also.
As for the original install process, I called to order service on a Tuesday, and I had my HSI up and running two days later. I only had one major problem since then. A few months back, my speeds were down to almost dial up speeds. Turns out there was a problem with the cable that runs from the box to my house. The tech installed a new cable. He also changed out my old Scientific Atlanta modem for a Motorola SB 5101 Surfboard. He said the modem switch wasn't really necessary, but that he liked the SB 5101 better.
I had been considering switching to AT&T's U-Verse since it is now available in my area, but since I'm not having any problems with Comcast, why switch. Like the old saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
