Sales agent seemed to be very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. Had to call multiple times to connect the service as the previous owner apparently didn't disconnect the service, at least in their system (there was no signal on the cable). Eventually someone was able to think outside the box and force a disconnect without me having to go in person to an office to prove house ownership.
When installers came they only hooked up the cable lines as I had no TV yet. Weird enough, they didn't do any signal test at the outlets. Later when I hooked up the TV, I realized that they connected a dead wire to one of the outlets. Fortunately I have tracing tools and I was able to connect the right cable.
Picture quality is acceptable, but not great. I don't have an HDTV so I can't say anything about the HD quality, but compared to Cablevision it pales....
An unexpected surprise was the internet. I was told I can expect "up to" 6/1, all tests I've run so far show around 18/1.8, however the ping is around 50ms while on OOL I used to have 20ms. Oh well... On a good side they don't block ports 80 and 25.
Bottom line: I'll switch to AT&T once the promotion is over - they have the VRAD's 200ft from my house.
Update: Switched to AT&T UVerse. Kept the internet for the time being, I still have to fiddle with the AT&T router, it appears to be geared towards the average Joe and doesn't support forwarding a port to a particular IP (just to a device that uses DHCP).
