I have a pretty decent connection with these guys. The problems all begin once you need to call customer service. This is the company's major weakness. Unless things improve, it's the #1 reason I will be switching to FIOS the millisecond it is installed and running in our street. Lack of sound broadband knowledge is a huge issue. Not to mention being given the run-around. Forget about using their online customer support chat. I don't even know why they have that service as it is useless.
Initially I had been using the Arris TM502G which was pretty good. Swapped it out for their RCA modem, which while skeptical at first is not bad at all. Now have the Ambit D3, which after the software upgrade is quite fast
Their online interface is weak. We should be able to upgrade / downgrade plans online. Even change modems and so forth using some sort of online account management facility.
Overall, their service works and when it works it works well. Unfortunately the legacy cable TV monopolistic attitude which is instilled in the company ruins it for them.
