Good "Pleasant installer, Good 6/12-mo promo rates"
- Location: Reading,Middlesex,MA
- Cost: $30 per month
- Install: about 1 days
Bad "Upload speeds, even if you beat advertised, you're still slow..."
Overall "I have both Comcast and FIOS, Comcast is 1/2 as much, it's a good ISP."

Value for money:
(ratings above consensus)
Installed in 20 mins. I use my own modem. Speeds are good, I see 25/3 with their powerbooost. I expect sustained speeds to be at least 16/2.
I am on a 6-mo promo for $29.99, then 6-mo of $42.99 then regular price $62.95. No contract.
I also have FIOS at my house, 25/25.

Speeds have been OK, but reliability has been some what lacking. I have sporadic downtime due to unknown reasons which resolve themselves within an hour or so... I also have noticed that I lose service whenever the power fails (despite my cable modem/etc being powered from a UPS--i.e. there is no signal to the modem on the coax).
These things get quite annoying and so I've decided that I want to switch back to VZ FIOS.
Overall I think Comcast in the $30-43/mo price range for their 16/4 (really 12/2) service is a reasonable value, but I would certainly not pay $63 for it when for $75 I can get 15/5 service from VZ FIOS.
