    I've been with Comcast for years since they bought out AT&T here in the Chicago market. It's probably been ten years or so. Just a handful of days with connection problems over that time.

    I just upgraded to the Ultra 22/5 package. Ordering was a little painful since I believe I ordered it the day it went live. The person on the phone was learning as we went along, through no fault of her own, and was able to get my modem ordered. I'd say get my service upgraded but for some reason Comcast's system automatically upgraded my account from Blast to Ultra. No big deal, I wanted it anyway, but those that don't might want to keep an eye out for that. Ultra needs a new modem and that wasn't automatically sent.

    The new modem arrived and I, as well as others in the area, noticed the speeds were still capped at the Blast levels of 16 down instead of 22. I don't expect any early adoption of services like this to go without a glitch, so I figured I'd give it time. I didn't contact Comcast's phone support because for issues like this they can be, well, useless. I did post her in the forums and was contacted by ComcastSteve who was able to take care of my issue within just a couple of days. Thanks Steve!

    The bottom line is I can't really complain about anything regarding my service over the last decade. Lately the prices have come down on packages and the speeds have gone up. I've found my connection to be reliable and extremely fast compared to what's out there in DSL. If you have a problem do your best to get to a higher level tech as fast as you can and you should be golden.
