If you live in Denver, you pretty much choose between Qwest DSL and Comcast, unless you want satellite or wireless. I've had both DSL and Comcast here, and I have to say Comcast wins in nearly every aspect. Yes, there is the 250GB cap but I would have to work very hard to even come close to that. It is more expensive also.
I ordered Internet only, we get DirecTV and use magicjack for the once a month or so land line call.
I signed up for the 8/2 tier for 64.95 a month. The first 3 months are 24.95. I own my motorola 5120 modem otherwise it would be 3 bucks more.
The order process was very easy, I got a good CSR who was very knowledgeable and even told me about the "super-secret" Blast tier that Denver supposedly has, but its 74.95 a month and there are no promotions for it.
The install went quick, no problems. I already had made sure the cable outlet where I wanted the modem was connected to the outside ground block.
So far, I am very pleased with Comcast's internet performance. I am signed up for 8 down, 2 up and consistently get about 9/3. Powerboost gives me about 16-20 down, but for some reason my upload has never gone above 3 Mbps. I know people have gone higher than 3 up around here. Oh well, when Docsis 3.0 hits I'm upgrading to the 22/5 package anyway
Update June 20 2009
Just chatted online with Comcast, asked about promos for Blast, got 6 months of 16/2 for 51.99! Comcast internet is the best!
