In my neighborhood, you have a choice between AT&T's DSL and Comcast. Despite AT&T claiming that they've brought U-Verse to Detroit, I don't know of one person within the city's limits that actually can get U-Verse, and what's more irritating is that their DSL is restricted to and not upgradeable past basic speeds (512kb/128kb) for some reason. Comcast, as irritating as they can be, at least offers their full range of speeds in my neighborhood and throughout Detroit, so I really have no choice if I need and want any kind of speed.
I wish Verizon & FiOS were here...

Sterling Heights, MI | never ever Never to michigan. They have no footprint here, and with comcast, att, and a few overbuilt cable cos, i cant foresee us ever getting fios in michigan. | |
