I put down that my monthly cost is $95 a month for 16mbit blast. This is true, as my first bill was indeed $95. I do not have cable service, nor do I want it since the promotional rate made my face turn green (with 1 DVR and 3 DTAs setup SOMEWHAT similarly to my dish service that provides me 2 DVRs and 2 regular TVs)..
I'm currently paying ~$35 on a 3 month promotion because after seeing the bill I called them to cancel. Seriously.. geez.
The internet service itself is indeed very, very fast. Ping times are mediocre, 95ms to google when in the bay area? Overall, I'm a fan of the service, and the CSRs are usually pretty nice and all but the reliability just isn't there. I have my modem connected on a home run (nice RG6) to the grounding block, and from there it's nice RG11 all the way to the tap, so I doubt that is the issue. About once a month, the service is down anywhere from 3 hours to 6 hours.
I hate that!
So yeah, it's a much nicer service than AT&T's DSL, and the powerboost makes for a fun toy, despite that I can sustain 2MB/sec downloads sometimes.
