    I swore off verizon a few years ago because they double billed and I had to spend hours each month after their mistakes (which were many)

    Comcast on the other hand has been fair with their billing and have never really goofed up a bill, other than IMHO their service costs too much.

    Their customer service is actually improving. Over the years I've had to make a few calls to them for little things like outages and DNS problems. A few years back I thought I was talking to trained monkeys. Now it would seem that they actually care to help, and if they cannot, they have routed the calls in a timely manner.

    The service is rock solid, but can be slow at times.

    6 months ago, I asked them about cablecards for HD on the PC. They were pretty clueless, but then again so was I. I'm not sure how it will go but I'd like to try again with them to see if I can get that going.

    All in all I'm satisfied with them, other than my complaints about costs. That's a personal problem, not their problem.

    I had Comcast years ago, and their customer service was a mess. When Fios came, I took it. Their customer service and support went downhill fast. When I moved, Comcast was the only thing available. I have been pleasantly surprised with the customer service and support. The very few times I had problems, they sent someone out in a timely manner and took solved them. I won't go back to Fios if it becomes available in our area.

    I wont either. Verizon left a really bad taste in my mouth, and as long as comcast treats me right, I'm staying.
