Commercials in Dec 2013 indicated Free Speed Increase for Triple Play Subscribers!
I got it, on June 10, 2014. Had to wait for local hardware to get upgraded upstream of me...

After 12-13 years with DSL, I moved to Comcast. We had it for Cable, and added Telephone and ISP.....
I did self install... I'm guessing the installer who dropped off hardware was a bit pissed I didn't opt for their install... So the only instructions I got were in Spanish.... Have I mentioned I don't read Spanish?
So., I did the self install, and when I called the authorization number, I warned them it was a self install, and they prepared for the worst, but all worked fine....
Total Price is too high after you factor in the EMTA, HD BOX, SD BOX RENTALS, HBO, and Triple Play, but the service has been relatively solid, with some repeated cable breakups......

Jumping ship to Comcast HSI

Hi Jan! I sure miss the old ATT midwest/SBC Midwest forum. I'm jumping ship from DSL to Comcast HSI as of Friday. I have an installer coming as I need a home-run cable put into my office and it would be a bit difficult for me to do it myself. Anyhow, glad to see you are relatively satisfied with your service. Wish me luck....

Re: Jumping ship to Comcast HSI

Overall their product is good.. A bit pricy, and they get an 'attitude' now and then.... but overall their product is good..

Re: Jumping ship to Comcast HSI

Install completed yesterday. It took a while but I have a home run cable right from my box to my cable modem. Bought the Motorola Surfboard 6141 to avoid the rental fees. Speed is GREAT! Sure beats the old DSL Elite package I had for the past 15 years!
