5/12 Update price went from promo to $99.95 for 50/15 internet changed to SMC Dory Wireless gateway that includes the voice. No problems so far. Still happy with COmcast internet phone and basic cable..
11/10 Ordered online and then had chat to finish sale. The salesperson was great. When the scheduled day to connect cable came they showed up on time and was finished in about 30 min. Later that day I called in and ordered HSI. It took about 20 min from ordering to being online. After 3 months had problem with ATT and changed over my phone to Comcast took 1 week since I wanted to port my ATT number but on the installation day went flawless. HSI was Performance Plus according to them 8/1 but always getting 30/4 with the eMTA Arris TM722G for voice and cable. The Arris had channel bonding on the downstream but according to Comcast no D3.
5//25/11 I stopped but a Comcast service center and asked about D3 and if any new {Faster} speed tiers the rep told me that she had an email for 50/10 but had to call in to get. When I got home called in and asked and was told that D3 50/10 was available in my area and had special pricing for $79 for 6 months. I signed up and within 15 min had the 50/10 speed.
Since being with Comcast only a short time but very pleased with the phone service and the HSI.
The price above is for internet only 50/10 for 6 months.
UPDATE 9/9/12 About a month ago upgraded to 105/20 internet at times early in the day will get 108/10 as the day go to the evening it will go as slow as 38/11. Comcast has had numerous techs out and a supervisor to finally tell me the node only has 100m fiber connection and as other customer get on it is why it slows down. I was told that this would be corrected on 2 different date the last 9/7/12. As of today it is still not corrected. Will update when and if they correct the
problem.
UPDATE 9/14/10 This morning Comcast increased the downstream channels from 4 to 8 and the downstream so far has stayed at 111 down and the upstream is still 10. Will watch as the day go on and this weekend to see if any slow downs occur. Will follow up after the weekend .
i was having problem myself where i get only 30mbit on any speedtest after using tcpoptimizer about 600k program the test improved so now i get 50mbit to 100mbit as for the 50mbit it going to be 99.95/114.95 after 6 month promotion for your INFO. TCP is default at 65535 my windows xp i dunno about vista or windows 7 that is only good to 25mbit
Thanks for the suggestion. I do have vista and it adjusts itself. On most speedtest I get from 52m to 62m except for testmy.net. Talked to comcast and they will check but appears to be a routing problem to that site.
