I've had the same hard wire since before Comcast came to my area, over 15 years. The service is as reliable as I could expect. Speeds have always been at least as fast as advertised and usually faster.
One time after the DOCSIS 3.0 upgrade (over a year ago) I called for service, because I wasn't seeing the new speeds. They were out at my earliest convenience, checked everything, and decided my modem was the problem. They upgraded the modem and everything has been fine since.
