Qwest used to be the incumbent here, but they sold off their bletcherous dilapidated infrastructure to CenturyLink. The only other alternative was AT&T cable, which became Comcast back in around 2003. I've been reasonably happy with their services, such as they are, but the plant is pretty "rugged" out here on the Sammamish plateau. We are almost the last house from the headend, and every time a tech has been out here, the comment has been "Hmmm, the signals are a bit marginal". Regardless, the service has been pretty reliable and in the past couple of years there haven't been many outages. Since there's no alternatives, I'm anxiously awaiting the native IPv6 rollout, and I'm going to investigate business class service, if for nothing else to be able to get some static IPs.
