Switched from ATT DSL. After order placed and self install selected, we subsequently found a $25 technician visit was required. Only found out when calling in to get activated. Speeds good for two days, then very inconsistent. Worked issue through Comcast Direct forum, phone/chat support was a waste of time. Has been good since then.
Two months in and we had about an 8 hour outage today 9:40am ~5:30pm. No info or updates from Comcast. So far Comcast has better speeds than ATT did , but not nearly as reliable. I had ATT 10 years and only outage we had was when the fuse blew in the NID on the phone line. They sent a tech out to fix no charge.
