I've had the service for less than two weeks, so this review will be short.

Signing up was incredibly easy. This address had a new cable drop, but not had service for a long time. Creating the account was easy, and they had several options. Originally we were looking at a no-contract TV+Internet package, but went for the "lower end" Performance package, Internet only. $40/month with a one-year contract, and $2/month "Franchise Fee". "Performance" plan has 20/4 speeds. After 1 year, the price would go up to $52/mo. Some wiring work was required, so I went for the $35 installation fee.

During the signup process, Comcast clearly spelled out the $7/month modem rental fee, and provided a link to supported modems if you don't want to rent. DSLreports was pretty unanimous in recommending the Motorola SB6141, so I did some online shopping for that plus a router. The page for choosing the installation time was very nice, and lots of 2-hour windows available 2-3 days from order. When I actually went to complete the order, it said my chosen Saturday appointment was no longer available, so I chose a day on Sunday morning.

The technician arrived at 9am, and was pretty efficient at completing the work. He registered the modem, and the internet worked. Speedtest came out a little above the limits, and ping times seem pretty good. Haven't noticed any outages yet, and the router seems happy.

It was difficult to find the account information. The welcome mail and emails didn't provide account number, and the username I created on signup didn't work. The username lookup returned a new one based on my real name, but password reset needed a session with online chat. It's all sorted out now.

Something interesting I noticed in the account page, "Note: Enforcement of the 250GB data consumption threshold is currently suspended". The data usage page has links FAQs about different "upcoming" plans, 300GB for most plans and 350/450/600 for Blast/Extreme50/Extreme105.
