I left directv after they refused to let me upgrade boxes for new customer price. so after a week of looking at providers and prices i went with comcast x1 service. the picture quality is a lot better than Directv although it does have some artifacts during intense action scenes but its still better than directv. the channel lineup is ok with directv having more premium channels but with HD ondemand you dont need premium channels in hd. The client X1 box is slow at times. the internet i signed up for is the 105mbps and for the past three months had 5 outages mostly late night but when im up we had a couple during the day. I love the apps on x1 boxes and the ability to download recordings from dvr to ipad or tablet and being able to watch a minimum ondemand selection when your not home and on on wifi. I would recommend the x1 service for anybody who will use a lot of its features if you are just going to watch tv just get a regular comcast dvr.

ok after a couple months with xfinity x1 i havent had any outages with tv or internet. i have the new companion box that are a lot faster.

outage

Xfinty went out for the first time in a year but just the tv. Technical support tried there best but a technician came out the next afternoon and had to run a new line to the house. picture quality is still good not FIOS quality but close. Still way better than Directv and Dish. Only issue is the DVR box is slower than the client boxes located throughout the house.
