LAST PIPELINE Update (2/20/2005):
I cancelled my Charter internet service yesterday. Verizon is now offering a better service (»www.verizon.net/fios) in my area.
It's really disappointing Charter never raised the upstream above 256k. I'm beginning to wonder if they'll survive in my area. As soon as Verizon starts offering video across tcp/ip and their fiber service, Charter's days will be numbered here.
Adios Charter.
UPDATE to CATV Service (10/29/2006),
I had an outage on Sunday. They can't/won't roll a truck to my house until Saturday. Yes, incredible as it seems, they expect a paying customer to wait 6 days. That was just the incentive I needed.
I ordered video services from Verizon. Charter will be hopefully history by Thanksgiving 2006. Happy Thanksgiving Charter turkeys!!!
LAST Charter CATV Update (6/16/2007),
I've been completely free of Charter now for months. It feels really good. Verizon FIOS rocks.
