It would be nice to see a little more competition here (though SBC is starting to come around handily) as the price for their service is a little on the high side....especially considering the speed bump other ISP's are giving their customers to hold them. Currently I'm paying for 5000/512 with my own modem and dynamic IP.
Overall, I'm satisfied but if something better came along I'd probably jump ship in a heartbeat.
Update 12/21/2008: Just received a new billing for $156 for a $109 plus tax package (should be $124). Charter is trying to screw me over...time to make the move.
BTW---Definition of "monopoly". "a market in which there are many buyers but only one seller". Defines Charter pretty well.
Update 1/809: Had filed with the BBB because I wasn't getting any satisfaction from Charter's 1st tier. Had gotten an excellent person from the States (Frankie) who was able to nail down the promo that hadn't gotten properly applied and now all is well. Happy customer again and paying a fair price for a good product.
