The order process was fairly simple and the customer service rep researched the best package option for me. The earliest installation date I could get was for 1 week later. I scheduled a minimum install. The tech showed up early, but was in a hurry to leave for a personal appointment. When the modem didn't work right after he set it up I got "the modem is defective, I don't have a spare and I've got to go" I insisted he notify a supervisor as I had a nightmare digital upgrade last year with 5 defective cable boxes delivered before I got service and wasn't going to let it happen again. When I got the answer of "I left a message for him but I don't know when someone will come out' I called Charter tech support and got an excellent rep who did diagnostics from his end and got the modem activated and working. I was then able to get registered at the website, get my email accounts set up, etc. I've had a good connection and decent speeds since I presently have the 3 MB package with dynamic IP at $29/mo. and thus far test at the high end of that tier.
Two months after installation and I am finding Charter's email is absolutely unreliable. If you depend on email get a webmail account.
