"None that I can think of!"
"SBC here kinda sucks. Charter's the only other alternative in this area."

Impulse-bought a cable modem at Wal-Mart, did the whole self-install crap with the coax and splitters I had leftover from my Buckeye-Express (semi)self-install back in Toledo, OH. Called them up, registered the MAC and I was up and running within 10 minutes. First speed test was 1,389KB/s, which is what I average from Giganews. Up is about what I'd expect ~115KB to ~120KB. Since the DSL is still active, I'm going to get a dual-WAN router and set them BOTH on the newsgroups. Multi-connection *SHOULD* yield near-combined speed, but if not, I'll at least have a fail-over, huh?

Still not a single issue with this service. It's been rock-solid and reliable the entire time I've had it.

Tried the 16/2 tier and was disappointed. My down never went over 14mb/s, but the upload was a solid 2.2mbps. Went back down to the 10mbps package and still consistently hit the full speed plus a little extra now and then. I'm quite satisfied overall with this company. We did have a few snafus and a little downtime about a month ago; the modem kept losing sync. Turned out to partially be a problem at the pole and also with the node serving the area. But, back up and running at full speed now.
