no other reasonable option for high speed here....pay 10M service but for last year has been way under(1.5M- 5.5M) high pings between me and first charter server or router.....times out but according to charter this is my fault....every piece of equipment has been changed out several times this year....and all the cabling has been replaced all the way to the pole.......RUDE local reps .....techs who treat like your stupid....i'm so sick of charter....if there was any viable option to then i would be gone in a minute
i can't completely gas Charter...for the first 4 years the service was great but since january the service has been terrible tech support has been useless, and so has my internet connection..... i got the HSI for the express purpose of communicating with my son in Iraq and some serious gaming....and i've been unable to do either for last month.

charter says they made a mistakes on the billing ....par for the course.....so as usual i have to pay for charter's mistakes if there was another HSI provider I would be gone inna minute

I do admit there are some sections of town that we just can't get top notch.. | Charter is the worst I have subscribed to Cox Communications high speed internet, Roadrunner high speed internet, and now Charter Pipeline. If Roadrunner was a 10, Cox was an 8, and Charter was and still is a 0. Since subscribing to them, I have experienced 2 or 3 weeks of downtime. When I scheduled an appointment to have a tech guy come out, my appt time was between 1pm-5pm. When the day FINALLY came around (an entire week later) I was getting worried by 4pm that he hadn't shown up. I called charter and they said that they had tried to call me but I didn't pick up so my appointment had been cancelled. They never told me they were going to call me, AND I still had a full hour left on my appointment time. They rescheduled me an entire week later.
Local charter reps are rude, the corporate charter reps are rude, their customer service is horrible, their internet service is horrible, and downtime is often.
I hope and pray every day another High Speed Cable provider will come through my area; I would leave Charter in the blink of an eye. | |
