Setup left somethings to be desired: took seven days before service was active and the installers were unprofessional. I couldn't use my own modem even though I already had one, instead I'm stuck being charged every month to rent theirs.
The connection is acceptable, but nothing spectacular and definitely not as good as Comcast or Time Warner. I usually get about 80-85% of advertised speeds, which I can live with, but I feel they shouldn't be advertising speeds they can't support. I also get more downtime than I've ever had with other providers. They go down every couple months for a few hours, which is very painstaking when I'm trying to accomplish a homework assignment or obtain some information.
Their marketing is extremely annoying. Despite being especially clear on their signup that I did not want to be contacted by any sort of marketing, I get mailings AT LEAST twice a week. It's very frustrating because some of their mailings come in the same sort of envelope as their bills do, forcing me to waste time opening them. Further, and even more annoying, is the fact that every month or two they start incessantly calling my number trying to peddle their bundled services (I don't have a television and I don't need a phone line). Even though I tell them I have no intention of getting more services and ask them to stop calling me in the future, they inevitably start again at some point.
The experience that I've had with this company causes me not to be surprised at all that they are in bankruptcy.
