I'm on the 30 down 4 up plan and get 40 consistent with spikes to 50mb and i get a pretty consistent 5mb up. I also have tv and phone I pay about 140 a month with 3 tvs. The bill went up recently due to the all digital conversion and paying for extra boxes. We had a desync issue for a couple weeks, the first technician didn't show up and reported we weren't home, the second technician "Larry" came by the next day and stayed for 6 hours making sure everything worked (on demand) He was awesome!. It really made up for the first bad experience. ( a squirrel had chewed into the drop line, he also cleaned up the wires that come into the house and even crawled into the crawlspace to make sure everything was okay.) Ive had some connectivity issues ( DNS servers going down i got some great advice on these forums and haven't had an issue since), The internet has been going down once per month around midnight without explanation but other than that the internet service IS GREAT ( its not nearly as solid as my ATT dsl/uverse was in a different state, but for cable im very pleased). The TV experience leave a little to bee desired, HD channels aren't selected by default even though they required me to have a specific box for HD television so a lot of times i catch folks watching the SD version that doesnt fit onto newer widescreen sets. The phone service works well enough, Calls are clear and voices are crispy, the unit has no battery backup though so unsure what happens during a power outage, ( I purchased a UPS device just in case so 911 is still available). member for 21 years, 3286 visits, last login: 5 years ago lodged 10.1 years ago
