I'm stuck with a choice of PTD(setv) or DSl, DSL is looking like a viable option right now. SETV has been getting slower and slower for the last 6 months, I've had them out to check this end, and the guy said "nothing he can do" paying for 7meg, which at 2am it will do, but durring the evening it varies between 300K and 3 meg!
I used to be an avid online gamer, does not need bandwidth, just a good ping, well SETV sucks there as well, most evenings I give up after a few minutes as the ping is beyond a joke.
I'll be dead in the hole before Fios arrives at this back water, so DSL or stick with SETV, hell of a choice!
Order and install went ok, except it took 5 calls for them to understand my name ! and so get my email account right.

| I don't know but these speeds are atrocious. Should give us 6 free months of service for this garbage. Just tested and got 480k down and 100k up although I'm paying for 7MB down and 384k up. When you complain all of a sudden your speed jumps, then slowly degrades back down until you complain again a few weeks later. Time to call to get prorated! | |
