Back in January I ordered IDSL (144k) because I'm too far away to get ADSL/SDSL. The installation itself went very smoothly. Within a couple of weeks, I had the router in my house. I got a static IP address and 24x7 connectivity. By all rights, that should have been all she wrote, but there were problems with congestion and the fact that all of my traffic was being backhauled to San Diego before it got on the Internet. Awful pings, low throughput, you get the picture. To their credit, IE gave me free months of service until they got it right.

Well, now things are MUCH better. Pings are 120-180ms and throughput to major web sites is up and DSLReports claims I'm getting 125k (max). Although people at IE still don't return calls occasionally, the DSL service itself is now performing up to my expectations.

All in all, I'm glad I stuck with them. Although I wish I could get more than 144k, IE is doing a good job of delivering the service I'm paying for.
