Ive been on Broadband with Windstream since January 07, never any down time, stable speeds. I also really love my video package with Windstream/Dish Network. Looking forward to Network upgrades in the Lexington area. Very good alternative to Insight.

| Beware of Windstream Dish Network Services The dsl internet connection is fine. And for the most part stable. But beware of their cable tv (part of their dish network services) service. They charged me hd service without explained the monthly service fee. Here is how it went when I first order it They: Do you want hd with it? I: is it free? They: Yes. I: Ok, if it is free.
Then I find on my first bill that I am being charged for hd service. Then they say the hd fee is a monthly.
I: Can I swap my hd cable box for a regular one? They: Yes but we will have to charge you $99 for the change. I: I thought hd was free. They: Yup, upgrading to hd is free but the hd service require a monthly fee. I: They sales rep never explain that when I ask is it free.
-That is just deceptive marketing.
On the first try calling them to resolve this, they eventually push me to the corner so I said, I rather cancel my cable tv service and paid them $215 for early cancellation. Than stay with them and paid them $650 over 18 months. So their rep transfer me to cancellation and then I line went die and say "Please dial again"
-More deception.
So I called again. And this time I got different rep who saying change the hd cable box to regular cable box would cost me $169 instead of $99. what the hell. Eventually that rep disable my hd cable tv box remotely.
I have 2 hd cable tv box and 1 regular cable tv box. So basicly now, I only got 1 regular cable tv box. Since I only bought it for the wife. I plan to switch to another cable tv service once my 18 month agreement is over.
-There is a 30 day cancel if I don't like it but my bill only came 30 days after the service. So they don't even give you a chance to cancel it until it is too late. And then you have to paid to cancel. That is just wrong and deceptive practice. | |

| windstream 3rd party billing with DISH Network Hey dude, sorry about youre situation. The CSR never should have told you the HD service is free, Its a 20$ addition to youre bill, What they meant was the channels are all digital, not HD. ALl my billing issues have been clear for the last 18 months. My old cable service stunk, so going back is not an option for me, plus I get a 5$ monthly discount on my Dish , and DSL. | |
