Well, this was an interesting story. I never got a tech out on my original install, they just flipped a switch and prayed I guess. Turns out the incoming phone line to my NID was clipped in the telco side AND in the customer side, apparently by a cable tech who installed cableco phone service. Then I got charged $90 for a truck roll to fix all this stuff after I had already repaired it all myself and called off the truck roll. 
Anyway at first I had some serious connection issues which were later tracked to a faulty router on my end. I replaced that with my Linux server acting as a router/firewall and now everything is 150% stable. Sync at 7200kbps on the 6mbit package, wow!
Can't wait for ADSL2 to be launched as expected in Lexington by the end of 2007.
