I had Windstream at my last house, in another town, and it was decent. In that town, there is some competition. I moved to my current location, where they are the only choice, and the service has been horrible. First off, I asked to have my services and account set up exactly as it was at the old place. They got virtually nothing correct. I just got my second bill, and my Dish service (which I get through them) is not even on the bill, despite the fact that I do, indeed, have service.
Secondly, I asked to have a new jack put in, had a tech scheduled to come out. The man came out, looked around, and said he couldn't do it. I explained how I believed the wiring went through the attic, and he wouldn't even take a look. Perhaps because he was a very large man and likely wouldn't fit in the crawl space, I don't know.
Third, the connection here drops sync constantly. It started when I first moved in, and the first person I spoke with on the phone ARGUED with me that I already had a ticket in on that issue at this location. I tried explaining that no, I JUST moved in here, and did not even know I had an issue until about 10 minutes ago. "But sir, you must have called in, I already have a ticket". She was rude, and apparently without knowledge, as she was trying to tell me it was because of a "mirror" in my line. While I am not a tech, that made no sense to me.
I've had a tech out, and it improved for a couple of days, but it goes right back to the constant drops. Having read numerous other reviews with similar issues, I say if you have another choice, do NOT go with Windstream.
