Now download speed has dropped to 0.15 mbps during normal hours with a ping time of 200ms on a 300 mile hop. Jitter is up to 100ms. How does Windstream get by with this with the same complaint from Texas to Georgia with numerous complaints to the FCC & State Public Utilities Commissions? Is our tax money going directly where it isn't supposed to ??????
I used to have a solid 6mbs down & .6mbs up with a jitter of less than 4 ms for $55 pricey for what they give you but for over a year it was rock solid & reliable. Now unless it's the middle of the night service is degraded.
Now download speed goes below 2 mbs with a jitter of up to 50 ms. I email & they tell me I have to to use chat so they can catch it....chat is unavailable except for business hours so it's useless. Each time I call them I'm told the 2nd level of service is unavailable & someone will get back to me within 48 hrs....they never call back. I've been updating a trouble log on their site with info & ping plot reports for the last 6 weeks but never a response. The problems go right along with busy times. I have ran tests at other customers homes in this small town & the whole town has the problem. Windstream has obviously oversold their system for the equipment that they have. They have the attitude "We're the only phone company in town...too bad".
