I ordered Telus' High Speed Extreme 6.0 as an upgrade from my 3.0/1.0 megabit office plan. Telus managed to forget to switch me over until I phoned back and reminded them, but after that was sorted out I got switched over no problem.

I use Telus' thomson speedtouch modem with the service, and overall it's been fairly reliable. I originally had some issues with excessive latency (50ms or so at best, now about 11ms) and low upstream (650kbps, now 845kbps), but after struggling over many calls with their less-than-competent tech support those issues have finally been resolved.

I now get my full speed at ALL hours of the day with low ping times at all times as well. The service is fairly solid now, but I will admit it's been a bumpy road getting it to where it should've been when I first signed up.

Additionally, a number of users in the Lower Mainland (I'm in West Vancouver) have been experiencing some evening slowdowns recently, which is not something that should happen on DSL. Hopefully that will be resolved soon. From what I know though, these issues are not present on the north shore, as I have had no time-related speed issues whatsoever.

In short, it is now solid, reliable fast ADSL service for a decent price with no enforced bandwidth caps, but it wasn't what I would call easy getting here. If you have no problems off the bat, then you'll be very happy with it.
