Updated my current pricing... Service Still going strong... There new support model seems to be working a bit better for them although further refinement is still required with issues.
I have sinced moved one of my DSL lines into my dads place to keep the servers. I have to say I was actually impressed with Telus handling of the situation... As usual when things go well they go well and when things go bad they go to the extreme bad...
At the end of day... Yes they can very annoying and very slow to get things done there connections tend to be very stable and the picture of relaibility.
Well after moving out east for while and than coming back. I decided to give Telus another shot at the exact setup I tried before that landed up having major issues. This time though without any phone service. 1 dry DSL 6 meg line and 1 TV with 3 meg DSL. Plus I decided to add HD to the channel lineup. (not available before) I have to say so far I am very surprised at how well things have gone. Big improvement from before.
There's only been 3 problems so far. One on the day of install they split the 2 orders. Thankfully the one tech pickup the other work order and got both lines done. Otherwise that could have had a big problem. The only other issue so far was a mass outage that effected 150 + customer. Dslam failed or something.
The biggest problem though was just getting the orders in to get the service installed. Due to my accounts being split up in the system. It took 4 or 5 phone calls before it all got done. Thank goodness for the one guy who figured it. And new how fix it.
Overall big improvement.
