Upgrades have been completed as we finalize the plant & headend for a VoIP launch. Those upgrades have changed my connection into a rock-solid superstar.
Upgraded to pro 24 hrs ago which brought it up 5 Mbps.

    I wish

I wish I could have a speed test that fast. Since Feb I have had a slow speed. I am not too sure but I think these stupid digatal phones take alot of the speed away from the internet. Before I had that in I was getting like 9 mbps test. I now get 4. I had the internet with slowcogeco for 2 years. It was fast Now its crap! I am thinking of getting rid of it. They need to upgrade here in Welland. Get with the times its 2007 not 1997!

    Not satisfied at all.

    Re: I wish

Hey Spirtsky63. I am having the exact same problem in Welland since February. I have the pro plan (16 meg) whcih went to 3-4meg since February. I have had my odem replaced and have had at least 8 service calls into Cogeco since then.

The long and the short of it is that the nodes are simply overloaded and need to be split. The latest tech who came here said that I had to be patient and that they know Welland has some overloaded nodes and that it takes time to get the split. In the meantime...WE LOSE!
