    After over 8 years of service from what started out as DirecPC one way service then to the Direcway 4000 2 way service, to the most recent setup ,the Hughesnet 7000S modem, I have now moved to DSL service.

    If you are planning on getting Hughesnet service remember satellite is not good for those who Game, use VOiP, or VPN.

    Tier one technical support is a joke, as they are overseas, so prepared to be on the phone for a long time if you have service problems.

    If you are considering Hughesnet service, first look into other possible alternatives such as wireless service providers,DSL or even EVDO as those services will have a much lower latency.

    Hughesnet is the WORST

    I have to deal with Hughesnet service for 3 years and let me tell you about calling them...DON'T DO IT! I don't think I've ever spent so much time on the phone in my entire life.

    For over 1 month I just wanted to dispatch a tech to my office to fix my Internet, I would literally spend 3 hours a day just to talk about how they would dispatch someone. REMEMBER THIS: THEY WILL NEVER NEVER GIVE YOU THE CORRECT INFORMATION. And to change information on your account, forget about it.

    My Suggestion on getting Hughesnet, NO NO NO...you will spend more time on the phone than using the internet.

    (((NO ))) to Hughesnet!!! BEWARE... STAY AWAY!!

    TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE & MORE TERRIBLE! Starting from Internet access outages, poor customer service & not being given what was promised!! Settle for an internet card through cell phone companies instead. This has been the worst mistake I have made this year!! I called Hughes Net about termination fee, was told it's $400.00.

    I am requesting for management to contact me regarding the termination fee as I was not given the service that was promised. Customer Service (based in India) told me "it is NOT possible for management to contact you". ((( HELLO ))) that is illegal in my Country & it's a breach of contract!! I requested several times for someone to contact me with regards to not receiving promised service... and several times they denied my request!!
