I have had direcway for around around 8 months now. I knew what to expect out of it from reading about the service before I ordered it. Well, at least I thought I knew. The advertised speeds were 600/40 if my memory serves me correctly. I have consistantly had 1000/40 or better. My peak download speed I have ever seen was 1700kb/s. I have had no problems with slow downloads as long as I haven gotten FAP'd. This connnection is all I could really ask for considering my needs of a connection.
Tech support is poor from what little experiance I have had with them. There is long waits and delays when asking for assistance. And the billing policy kind of bit me the first month. They double charged for some reason, but promptly credited it after I caught it. It hasnt happened since then.
Im not sure I would goto cable or dsl if it ever comes available here. The build for running it to where I live would be in the thousands. I think $500 dollars for the original equiptment from direcway was very reasonable compared to that. I also have been a Direct TV user for over 10 years, so I am sort of a fan of these little dishes.

Im up to 16 months using Direcway now. Other broadband services are still not availible here. I still like my service, but the download speed slowed in the spring this year. Sat 5 Mex had some problems with DNS and since then I have had at best, original advertised speeds. I guess thats not too bad, considering for over a year I had well over advertised speeds.
Having upgraded to Pro, my Fap is a bit more relaxed now. Im a night person, so the fap free hours from 3am till 6am serve well. Im still a happy customer, and still dont have access to another provider.
