Grants Pass,Josephine,OR
Contract price not specified.
"er?"
"Covad's overall service would probabley be great if not for all the downtime."
"For the price of idsl to a rural area, their commitment was very low as evident in their choice of contract repair companies"

As a matter of fact, Covad billing, just this morning debited my bank account for 374.05, which is the amount when added with the refund i was promised equals the early termination fee of 500.00 The problem is that they were supposed to credit my account 126.95 because of "circuit not viable" which voided their contract according to their own phone sessions between me and billing. So now I have a negative balance in my account just when I'm applying to move to a new location rental. LOL I know things are bad in the economy but Geez.

Anyway their service, when working, at 144kbps was great, till the service started acting up. They dropped my line speed to 128kbps. Then more repairs, through a couple of contract companies; New Edge and Cascade Communications. This over a 1 1/2 period, in which the service was down about 1/5 the time. Also i went through the whole holiday season without their service. And in the end they deemed the circuit not viable because it was too far away from the main hub, more than 22k feet or so I think. Gah"

Ok well I can't knock them for trying, but I could've gone with a GSM air card through a cell company for faster and more reliable service and overall more cost effective in the long run. Someone in that chain of companies and contractors knew the circuit wasn't feasible from the beginning or at least after the first repair.
