I've had Rogers for 3 months now and everything is still good hope it stays this way..speeds have been getting better!!!! 2.7-2.8/350-400 u/l passed u/l cap sometimes i love it
it hasn't gone down at all since I've had it
and haven't need to use Tech Support either
__________________________________________________ UPDATE: 11/17/04 Had some problems with my ping times (150ms+) but it seems to be fixed a little and online gaming is not lagging as much any more, other then that everything has been ok..and I hope it stays like this!!
UPDATE 1/28/07 We'll its been some times since I've last updated my review, but besides getting changed from a 70 IP (which was almost max speeds of 5) to a 74 IP which now Im getting a little less or what I used to be getting, not a huge issue but wish Rogers didn't somehow change my IP. Other then the fact that my IP has changed and speeds is .5-7 slower then what it used to be, everything has been stable and good. Ping times have been great as well 20-70 in online games and aside from the price increases, everything has been good so far and I hope it stays this way.
UPDATE 09/01/07 Been a few months now, and Speeds are up o 7 mpbs and 512 up. price went up a bit as well, as usual thats rogers for you. Internet is still reliable, and fast getting real world speeds of 6.0-6.5 which is pretty good, i was getting better but what can ya do. Torrents are throttled which I hate since I do use that alot. It's ridiculous how rogers throttles this stuff, and gets away with it. Caps are also in effect as well, which i think sucks, if I could go back to Bell I would, but speeds with them are not good since I'm too far from the CO. All in all everything is good, and hope it continues.
UPDATE 12/11/07 The throttling that Rogers does sucks, and they should be throttling what I do. Also getting a new IP of 99. Which gives me slower speeds then what i should be getting I dunno whats going on with this new IP but my speeds have suffered form it. Other then those 2 complaints everything else is fine, although I wish I had my old IP back as my speed. As of now my speed is cut almost in half of the advertized 7 that I used to get. I cant go back to bell since they suck and I'm to far from CO so this is all i got. All in all service is still reliable.
UPDATE 08/01/08 Service has been solid this whole time with rogers, so cant really complain about that but Left Rogers due to throttling and having a 60GB cap as we'll as paying $44+tax every month, Went to cheaper solution, with a bigger cap, and better customer service.
