We switched to Rogers because we got tired of (a) paying for a phone line that we had no use for, while also paying for cable TV, and (b) we also got tired of Bell being unable to maintain consistent service in our area (a week of download speeds at less than 56k and no help from them). So we called on a Monday to have the install performed and got a Friday appointment (and it's nice to see that it's now only a 3 hour window, not 8 hours like back in the day).

Latest update: We're starting to get tired of Rogers feeling that they should be the arbiter of how we should use our connection. Frankly, the only reason we're still with them is that our contract is up in a month or two and we'll be able to cancel our service and go with a data-neutral ISP without big ol' penalties. Rogers is fine if you want basic browsing and email (of course, if that's all you need, you don't need an 8 Mbit tier) but if you want encrypted connections or reliable BT services, look elsewhere. We're going to. I simply cannot abide my ISP telling me that my legal uses of bandwidth are not something that the company will permit.
