For those looking for a positive, open, honest and user friendly forum to contribute fresh, valuable insight to improve Rogers Services and Support sadly, Rogers Idea Box is not it.
After 5 days of trying to convert my 10 years of Rogers Highspeed Internet use into thought provoking mutually beneficial NEW ideas for Rogers perusal I was faced with the harsh reality that Rogers isn't interested.
Time after time my well thought out suggestions on eg: Improving Overall Internet package pricing, Eliminate the Twice Yearly Price Increase, Roll Back pricing on the two lowest Tiers, Increase Monthly Internet Data Usage Caps and a suggestion for Ideabox site improvement: Rogers Ideabox Mods Need To Be Fair and Openminded have all met the moderators axe. Even after editing and reposting Rogers still turned a deaf ear to these ideas that would greatly benefit both customer experience and by extension, an increase in Rogers customer base.
Apparently, Rogers IdeaBox is a self-serving marketing tool that IdeaBox moderators rule with an iron fist. Any new ideas not conforming to Rogers idea of good promotional material will surely fall under the catch-all "Off topic" rule and be swiftly dispatched to the recycle bin.
How can good solid ideas about giving customers more value for the dollar and IMPROVING service quality be "OFF TOPIC"?

Bottom line: Rogers Idea Box is one BIG waste of time. After a full 2 weeks of trying to offer topical and innovative improvement ideas I've found it is POINTLESS.
The site is burdened with so much MODERATOR INTERFERENCE that it's impossible to post anything that is REMOTELY TRUTHFUL regarding Rogers and their various services. It can't be done.
Once again, Any and all topics that shine a light on Rogers TRUE shortcomings and failures are DELETED forthwith from IDEA BOX. Marginal criticism is MOVED and BURIED in the Rogers Community Forums.
This whole experience with Idea Box and the entire Rogers Community Forums has drilled home a very sad confirmation and lesson. It is possible to muzzle the voice of consumers. It is possible to stamp out opinions. It is possible to present a FALSE public perception.
Hence the old adage: "Tell a lie enough times, to enough people, and the lie becomes the truth"
Rogers should be ashamed and embarrassed by the example they have set. Their "TELL IT TO SOMEONE WHO CARES" attitude says it all.
Well, that's it for my review of Rogers Idea Box. 'nuff said.

We only moderate comments and ideas which do not keep the conversation on topic. If you read through some of the other ideas that have been posted, youll see we encourage an open conversation around them. We also have guidelines prominently posted in Idea Box so community members know about them.
While our current focus for Idea Box is around customer service and support, we recognize that community members have been posting ideas that fall outside of these realms (such as around pricing, products, etc.). Well be announcing a new category in Idea Box where these sorts of ideas can live so we can bring them forward to the teams internally. Stay tuned for an announcement on that soon.
