Have been an RCN customer since they were "Starpower" in Wash DC, brought them into my MUD. Service has been vulnerable to interruption, despite have the highest possible tier of service have never seen anything close to the claimed 20Mbps. Lately (last 6 months) the service drops to as little as a steady 1Mb, with frequent cutouts, during high traffic times. Despite offering triple play and packaging services together, customer service reps will NOT talk to you about more than one service - you have to be transferred to talk about phone or internet if you called in on the cable line - impossible to talk to anyone about your combined package (and its' cost.)
Why don't i switch? I've heard far worse about Comcast.
