Value for money:

Good value for money! I have been able to constantly re-negotiate the price so that it is nearly the same was it was in 2005 while service has increased (10 Mbps to 50 Mbps for example). Re-negotiating primarily consists of asking for the current introductory teaser rate. Right now they are asking only $10 over the teaser rate.

The hybrid VOIP system (introduced in July 2011) is much less expensive and telephone has become cheaper which offsets cable TV price increases. If I had ordered just television and internet in 2005, it would be impossible to maintain the same price.

Telephone: Remote Service Unit 2005-20011
Telephone: Docsis 2.0 with Embedded Multimedia Terminal Adapter, July 2011 to November 2013 (Arris TM602G)
Telephone: Docsis 3.0 with Embedded Multimedia Terminal Adapter, November 2013 to present (Arris TM822G)

Comparison of triple play prices and services between April, 2019 ($187.50) and 2005 ($158.08)

In 2019 have Six Tuner 4K+ 2 HD Receiver Powered by TiVo® and Showtime and The Movie Channel, none of which we had in analog days of 2005.

RCN was sold to TPG in February 2017 who also bought Wave and Grande
You should consider older reviews to be obsolete. Easy access to Hulu and Netflix using RCN TiVo equipment.

I don't recommend using the RCN supplied equipment for 250 Mbps service as the DG2470 is based on the Puma6 chipset. The Puma6 chips are the subject of a class action lawsuit. Either go up to a higher speeds or buy your own equipment.

hope some good comes of this!

I hope they expand their footprint in both Verizon and Comcast geographies! It's LOONG overdue in PA!
They should expand in the eastern 1/3rd of the state from York, to Shuylkill, to Pike counties.

no price change??

Your saying that the price hasn't changed in all the years you've been a customer, you've neglected to say that you constantly "negotiate" the price 2 or 3 times a year. Quite misleading. Price increases are quite regular.

I changed the review as I don't want to be misleading.
