I've been using Qwest DSL 640/272 for close to 3 years. On Sept. 6th, 2002, I noticed an ATT truck outside my high rise building... The Tech said they had just hooked up the building with OC, and the hub had been turned on 1 hour earlier. I called ATT, (they still didnt show my address as serviceable). After they called the tech dept., I was signed up for UltraHS at 82.99 per month, including the rent for a 3Com external modem.
One day later, 9/7/02 at 10:00 a.m., my new service was up and running. One hour later my e-mail, etc. was up and working perfectly.
I know that I must sound like an ATT employee or share holder... But after living with Qwest tech for years, I'm just now finding out what a real communications company can be. (I am switching my Qwest phone service to ATT on the 24th.)
I have a Dynamic IP...DHCP. My speeds are up to 3090/365 here at DSLreports, after an RWIN adjustment. (Thanks to my friends here at DSLreports.) At PC Pitstop my speeds are 4893/365 or better...Much closer to Denver.
DSLreports has been my favorite site for years, and will remain so. THX!
UPDATE 3/28/05 -
Last week Comcast bumped up my service to 6600/768, for free. Noticeably faster speeds. Never thought I would say this, but Comcast IS better than ATTBI was. (Price is less than my 3000/384 service by 20.00 p/mo.)

I should mention that a month later Comcast bumped my service up to 8000/764 @ a lower rate! (How often can you say that?)
Actually, I get regular speeds of 12500/764, with monthly rate of $64.00.

Nothing but great service, speed, and lower cost. I switched to Comcast phone service, so I save another $10. on my HSI. I get an average DL of 12000 and UL of 1500 for $56.16.
I have been through the biggest improvements in the past 10 years. Dial up, DSL with Qwest (YUCK) 650/125. Then BINGO! Cable with AT&T which turned into Comcast. (My son plays about 5 different games so he wanted the high upload and MS)
He also DL's 100's of songs every month (ZIP ZIP). I remember when the highest numbers never had Comcast as the ISP. Now, Comcast is the ONLY ISP top to bottom with very few exceptions.
These are the golden days and it will only get better. Soon there won't be a need to list speeds and Doctors because dl's will be the blink of the eye.
I've had the service for several years now and there has never been break in servvice. (wow),
COMCAST IS GREAT.
