I originally had that 10Mb down/2Mb up connection from comcast which was downgraded to the 6mb/1mb recently. From a math perspective it looks horrible, but I never was able to max out the old 10mb, but on the new one I actually do reach transfer speeds of 605KB/second and above.
Overall, I don't like the companies view towards people or their public image, but the service has been for the most part pretty rock steady. I had some personal issues in my area (deployment/interference/power distribution - I'm less than 3 feet from the node), some of which were ongoing for about 6 months and provided no end to frustration. However, it was eventually resolved, and overall they seem to be fairly decent. I don't exactly welcome the rediculously low upload speed though as that affects gaming as much as downloads, and will be switching to a local provider eventually.
Level 1 tech support is completely retarded but usually they end up kicking you to people who know about whats involved or ask the right people. Although I have some bitterness towards comcast they have been fairly reliable.
