Well, years later since my first review, and I am still with Cox. This says something. I have added their HD service and also recently switched my phone service to Cox. Overall, Cox is still doing a good job in this part of the country. They have been very consistent in both speed and availability. Very few outages, and those have been fixed quickly.
Their tech support is still somewhat lacking at level one, but it seems they escalate things to level two quicker these days. E-mail gets a lot of spam and this can be an issue. Cox does have some decent filtering in place now, which helps.
The speed is as advertised and does not degrade very much, even at the busy times of day.
In my area, I like Cox and refer them to others.
