On Preferred W/Powerboost Plan. Average speeds as advertised with VERY nice boosts during non primetime hours. So far extrememly satisfied with both the service and the support. From sales to install to ongoing tech support, very efficient and professional staff.

| Speed Boost is good for Cox Vegas 10,000 down, 1,000 Plan $55+ per month. Average speeds test speeds are far beyond advertised, when using cox speed test site.

Testing with Cox Communications the results will be close to 30,000 down and a 1,000 upload. Using any other test site the speeds are 10,000 - 13,000 range, with 1,000 as the upload results.
Using my stop watch an downloading a known file size from microsoft, I am getting about 7,000 or 8,000 before or after midnight.
The trouble with power boost, there is not a website that will measure the real speed discarding the first few seconds of boosted speeds. Using Cox a true speed test can not be calculated or measured on any website I have found...
Overall I feel Power Boost/Speed Boost is neither, but it is a good advertising gimmick so they do not need to increase Internet speeds, or lower prices... Makes it impossible to document when your Internet speeds have decreased.
