    My Other Reviews·Qwest.net
Well. I had the service from August 2004 to April 2007, and now as of the beggining of the year have it again. I went to Qwest and I enjoyed it, but my phone line got cut and they refused to fix it. Honestly this time around things have been alot better. My biggest complaint is that I signed up for the 15 MEG service and it wouldnt go above 4 megs. They moved me down to the 8 MEG package and i get between 7.2 and 7.8. Other than that everything has been good and rock solid, and my Vonage works great! I once again am a happy Mediacom customer, and would reccomend them to other people!

    04/04/2008 UPDATE...

Well, I went back up to the 15 MEG service, and it was doing okay for a few days, but its droping down low again (1 to 5 MEGS durring peak times), but I have been told its overutilization. I honestly dont like paying $60 a month for this, but I'm confident they will fix their issues. If Mediacom is one of your choices, I would suggest you give them a try, it may drop down low but they fix the problem, it just takes time.

    05/11/2008 UPDATE...

I'm happy to say, they really are improving their services. I ordered the phone service, and ported my number in from Vonage which took about 2 weeks, the technician was here for hours, checking everything up and down, left and right to ensure I wouldn't have issues. He noticed I had some old wiring and re-wired those outlets. They fixed the overutilization issue and now my speeds are 9.6 Megs down, and 955 KBPS up. (I changed to the VIP speed when I ordered the phone) I think Mediacom is doing a good job at fixing issues, and I am again recommending them to my friends. The bottom line is that if they are availible in your area, they are a good ISP and Phone company.
