I have been a Mediacom customer for 10+ years and most of those have been successful. Recently over the past 1.5 years I have had terrible internet issues. At first I was having extremely slow speeds and I finally found out after the tech was at my home 6 times that my small town is "Oversold" and there are actually to many customers for mediacom to handle and when there is many people online it will throttle me to 0.5 mb/s download... Jump ahead a year and this gets fixed and now my speeds are fast 12 mb/s BUT now my connection constantly drops 10+ times a day. The tech has been to my home 4 times so far in the past 5 weeks and still a major issue. So I am waiting for a resolution and using the internet when its actually working once and awhile. The cable T.V. is flawless and has many HD channels in my town so I have no issue with that. If I had options I would have switched companies but I am stuck. Mediacom is trying to fix my issues but the fact still remains that the issues are happening all together. Small Town Iowa.
