tech support and followup
Service since June'2014 has been Horrible; 6-7/50Mb at prime; best35/50Mb. No Solutions

Value for money:

7'2006:
I can never get the 3Mb service advertised. Local support indicates a problem but is never resolved. Complaints to Corporate management never addressed. Unresolved problems "appear" to fall thru some sort of black-hole.

6'2007:
Speed problem finally fixed after sending letter to corporate Executive level.
BUT, followup for questions asked that do not have 'obvious' answers still remain unanswered.

2'2009:
Since upgrading to the 5Mb service the speeds have been consistently at that level. I rarely call Tech Services so I cannot vouch for their level of support. When I do call it is for an estimate for a localized network problem fix. This has happened only 2 times in the past year+.

7'2014:
Starting in June'2014 their speeds and response time for page loading has been Horrible. Multiple calls to Tech indicated a 'known saturation level', but no solution has been indicated. What was once an 85-90% effective page loading response is not less that 10% during Prime time; 35-40% off-hours.
Unacceptable. Ready to write letter to GM (Rio Rancho, NM).

C1 and Modem single and services...

I recommend that you have your ISP check the cabling going to the ISP modem, check signal levels going to the ISP modem. For DSL or Fiber service lines, ensure that the ISP is using good working phone or cable lines to the DSL modem and that the phone lines are filtered correctly. For cable Internet, RG-6 coaxial cable is needed, not RG-59. Check for t.v. line splitters and remove them as they can introduce noise on the line and lower the signal going to the ISP modem. I recommend having the ISP service physically check the lines going from the out side to the ISP modem. Connecting to the ISP modem could result in a false positive as the signal to the modem could be just enough to that point then adding on a router, could see problems. The router operation is dependent upon getting good data flow from the ISP modem and the modem is dependent upon getting good signal from the ISP Service.
