The cost of this horrible IPS is $68.00 a month !! Only get 2.5 megabytes....sometimes.
I constantly lose connection on a daily basis..I called and they replaced my modem with they say a much better one. Funny the problem still exist?? Cable One is the worse ISP provider I have ever had.
They should be ashamed of themselves for pricing too high and jacking the customers.

I am presently looking into Quest has my next provider. They offered me a better deal at a lower cost and much faster speed.

    Hm.

I'm getting 5 mbit on the standard package. Maybe your cable stats aren't up to snuff?

You'll be down at 2.5 mbits if you download more than 2.3 GB between the hours of 12 pm and 12 am, which is a pain in the neck; I agree, but if the chemicals are right, you might find yourself in just as bad of a situation if you go with Qwest if your phone line isn't in good condition.

Make sure all the cables are firmly connected and the modem itself isn't sitting directly next to or on top of a router (Linksys routers do this a lot)

What are your signal strength stats? Go to 192.168.100.1 in your browser and paste them back here. Maybe I can help you work this out (No, I do NOT work for CableOne. )

    imho

    shippey,
"I am presently looking into Quest has my next provider. They offered me a better deal at a lower cost and much faster speed. "

I have Qwest's 12Mb connection available in my area, it's 45$ a month, but you know what.. I'm sticking with 10Mb connection from CableOne for 53 bucks a month. CableOne 's connection is reliable and when they say 10Mb, they mean it, it's not imaginary "speeds up to 12Mb" from Quest.
I don't think that your frequent disconnects is CableOne 's issue, in most cases it's the modem so I would recommend buying one yourself (Linksys CM100 for instance), and not leasing from them. Anyway, that's up to you.
