Other than the long wait for an installation date +30 days, mostly everything has
gone smoothly. I stuck with it as I like the price - $79 for static ip and adsl 768/384. I had to
get on them to give me a date - sales ? lost my record.

Once back on track, things started to happen. Calls are returned within 24 hours or less.
DSL Networks support and customer service are reasonable and competent.
Their web site has the setup instructions posted, so did my own desktop configuration.
An email notification came a couple of weeks before the install date, which was good. Pacbell did the
DSL line check up competently at my new place - found a guy in the street one day
when I came home from work. The Covad
installer was solid technically and we used one of my machines to do the test of the
new line. The adsl line went in on the day
that the Covad installer came and I have been up since with no issues.
DSLNetorks Sales sold me a Sonicwall Soho/10 firewall device to use with my static
ip and home lan, which was another reason why I chose them - wanted a
secure and supported solution. It turned out to be a drop off with no support from
Dslnetworks, so have spent hours through 2 weeks trying to get answers
from Sonicwall. (basic support - call, take a number, wait 3 days). The Soho product
is great in concept, so am hanging in. Once I am over the install
hump, I am going to be very pleased. The big adverstiser in my area is PacBell, but I
held off as my experiences with my vanilla ISDN installation were not good. I found my dsl isp from
www.covad.com using the search feature where providers are matched to
your needs. Worked for me. It is a concern that there are no posted SLA's. Yep. true, and that is a negative.
