i am paying for high speed and getting slower than dial up service. The speed gets real slow on Saturday and Sunday evenings. Impossible to get a live person on their tech support line. I had service with partnership broadband and their service was good When skybeam bought them it seems like the service went away and the price went up!

Skybeam Internet Service.

I have had this service for over 5 years. Since Skybeam has bought out my previous ISP the customer service is horrible. Spotty and slow connections. I was a reseller for them and no longer can I recommend there company. Avoid if possible.

They bought out Rhino Communications here in Northeast Texas and abruptly ruined it....Here's was the latest complaint I filed with their company:
I would normally find it almost comical how bad the service of your company is, if I wasn't so disgusted with having to pay for it. Not only have I been disappointed with the overall performance of your 'PRIMARY PRODUCT' for the last month, but in your invisible customer service as well! As an example, I was attempting a complaint message the other night and the website TIMED OUT ON ME while I was submitting it! Please don't have me check my own equipment again because, I'm a network engineer with General Dynamics. I understand how it works. I've run enough
tests on the connection to know where the issues lie. However, even with this knowledge of your sub-par product, it's the utter disdain I receive from your so-called support team that
amazes me the most. I have been ignored in more ways than I can count. Emails disappear in the ether and voicemails fall on deaf ears....in a word....criminal...

Has anyone found a good alternative to skybeam besides comcast and quest?
FYI, when I went to their website to run the speed test (same as y'all, rarely above 1Mbps), it asked for my zip code. When I entered it, the pop-up said they didn't offer service in Colorado Springs where I live.

I thought it was a sick joke on their part!

lousy service

I am telling you, this is the WORST internet service I have ever had. It just goes ON AND ON AND ON AND ON. When I first signed up with Air Canopy it was EXCELLENT, but when Skybeam bought it, it went to crap over night. It has something wrong with it *ALL THE TIME* it never stops. I have to reboot my computer 25 to 30 times per day. When I take it to the SHOP, they plug it in to ATT DSL and it works FLAWLESSLY!!!! The tech always says the very same thing, "Its NOT your computer, its that LOUSY INTERNET SERVICE you have."

I CANNOT make a LIVING because of it!!!! Where I LIVE Skybeam has a MONOPOLY!!! That is just not right. I CANNOT GET anyone else. Nobody, I cannot even get dial up but I can see the Fort Worth Skyline from my back door when the pollution is not so bad. I am a Texas and Oklahoma Real Estate Broker, but I CANNOT work in the business becasue I CANNOT get reliable INTERNET and EMAIL here at this farm where I live. I CANNOT MOVE. I am 60 and have been here since 1958, I have no place else to go!!!! FIX the GODDAMN sorry ass INTERNET PLEASE!!!!
Skybeam should NOT be allowed to have a MONOPOLY!!!! This Wreaks, I am IN the Dallas Fort Worth METROPLEX there is NO EXCUSE for this sorry and lousy service. The FCC should be all over these people. RELIABLE INTERNET and EMAIL is ABSOLUTELY VITAL to ANY BUSINESS now, you cannot be in any business without it now, I am sorry to say. IF ANYBODY will get me some service I will drop Skybeam in a heartbeat. I cANNOT get Wild Blue or Hughes net, I have already tried. Why does ELLIS COUNTY SUCK so BAD???? I have lived here for 54 years and I cannot figure it out. Skybeam is a BULLY. They have a monopoly, they charge you all they want, and they don't give a goddamn if your service works or NOT. And that "PC CARE SUPPORT" they have, they ain't worth a shit EITHER, don't sign up for that!!!!

Our State representative (Jim Pitts) should get together with the PUC and make AT&T put in some decent service in Midlothian. I CANNOT EVEN GET DIAL UP!!! That would be better than this SHIT!!!! But I cannot get it becasue the cable is worn out and ATT will not replace it. The HUM on it is so loud you cannot use it, a frigging FAX won't work on it EITHER!!!! So no internet except from Skybeam and it ain't worth a shit EITHER!!!! I wish they were in HELL!!!!!
